On Thursday, Graysville Mayor Doug Brewer let it be known that he's none too happy about a recent published report. Brewer says accusations that Graysville and six other cities haven't paid their bills to the Jefferson County Personnel Board from fiscal year 2005 and earlier aren't entirely true. As proof, the mayor showed off a check and an invoice to show the bills had been paid. Brewer says he knows exactly where the problem is. "I would say it's more of the personnel board not keeping good records.  I think that the county in the past has done a very good job of doing.  I think it goes back to what I said earlier, the personnel board not doing the right thing," said Brewer. Mayor Brewer says he's always paid his bills but says he won't pay anything without a receipt and invoice.
